Job DescriptionEnsco Inc. is seeking an Information Systems
Security Engineer (ISSE) to support the Western Range (WR) Launch
and Test Range Systems (LTRS) at Vandenberg Space Force Base
(VSFB), a cornerstone of our nation's space exploration and defense
initiatives.The LTRS enables spacecraft launch, ballistic missile,
and aeronautical testing for the Depart of Defense (DoD), NASA,
Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and commercial and national
customers.The successful candidate will be instrumental in
safeguarding United States Space Force (USSF) information systems
WR LTRS. This role demands a deep understanding of all aspects of
Cyber Security, including Assessment and Authorization,
Cybersecurity Engineering, and Cloud Cybersecurity engineering. You
will play a key role in the nation's assured access to space.This
position includes, but is not limited to the following
activities:Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Activities:---
Lifecycle A&A Support: Manage the A&A process for
information systems throughout their entire lifecycle, ensuring
systems receive Authorization To Operate (ATO) in accordance with
DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF)Security Documentation:---
Develop, update, and maintain all necessary A&A documentation,
including System Security Plans (SSP), Risk Assessment Reports,
Security Assessment Reports, and Plan of Action and Milestones
(POA&M) in compliance with RMF and other relevant
frameworksLiaison with Authorizing Officials:--- Act as the primary
cybersecurity point of contact for specific WR Enclaves to the
Agent of the Security Control Assessor (ASCA) and Authorizing
Officials (AOs), facilitating communications, submissions, and
ongoing authorization requirementsCybersecurity Engineering:---
Security Architecture Design: Design and review security
architectures for new and existing systems, ensuring they meet all
required security controls and are resilient to identified
threatsVulnerability Assessment and Management:--- Conduct
vulnerability assessments to identify system vulnerabilities,
recommend remedial actions, and manage the resolution of identified
vulnerabilitiesLegacy System Security:--- Develop and implement
strategies to manage the security of legacy systems, including risk
assessment, mitigation strategies, and, where necessary, plans for
system retirement or replacementKnowledge and Tool Proficiency:---
Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) Expertise:
Demonstrate expert knowledge of eMASS, effectively using the tool
for comprehensive management of A&A activities, documentation,
and reportingCollaboration and Guidance:--- Collaborate with IT and
project management teams to ensure cybersecurity considerations are
integrated into the project lifecycleQualifications Required
(Skills)--- BA/BS degree in Computer Science OR related field OR
equivalent work experience--- Minimum 7 years of specific
experience in Cybersecurity Engineering or Operations--- DoD
8570.01-m IAM Level II Certification--- Ability to work within the
DoD EMASS--- Analyze situations and develop a path to achieve
success--- Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet
identified deadlines and goals--- Plan, organize and manage
resources effectively --- Resolve conflict and adapt to changing
situations and priorities--- Make decisions quickly based on
available information--- AN ACTIVE DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS
REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S.
CITIZENQualifications Desired--- 8570.01-m IAM Level III, IASAE
Level II, IASAE Level III--- Experience with VxRail / VMware---
Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and the ability to design
secure solutions that integrate on-premises infrastructure with
cloud services--- Experience in implementing and managing security
controls in a cloud environment, including identity and access
management, network security, encryption, and threat detection---
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and
Kubernetes, especially from a security perspective--- Previous
