Job Description:
Needed to plan, direct, manage, & oversee activities &
operations of Finance & Administration departments for public
agency in San Luis Obispo County, CA. Duties include: Performing
complex & difficult financial analyses; Creating financial
policies, plans, & reporting to ensure long-term fiscal health;
Overseeing administrative staff; Preparing annual & periodic
financial reports; Planning, organizing, & reviewing work of
professional financial support staff; Preparing or directing
reconciliation of journals, ledgers, & other records; Performing
accounting, payroll, or budgetary documentation; Managing cost
account programs; Supervising purchasing programs; Analyzing,
forecasting, formulating, & administering all revenue sources;
Managing investment portfolio; Monitoring work to ensure funds are
being used effectively & efficiently; Conducting complex research
as directed & serving as resource for department personnel.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance
Business Administration, or closely related field; Min. 5+ yrs
professional financial accounting exp. including 3 yrs at
management level; Possess valid CA driver's license. CPA &
public/government accounting knowledge desired. CPA highly
desirable. Full-time, Temporary position (with possibility to
transition to internal management role). Wage: $53.97 hr.
