Prepares accurate, timely, and well-documented journal entries. Prepares accurate, timely, and well-supported balance sheet reconciliations. Prepares accurate and timely reports as needed on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Understands and properly uses Tenet financial systems such as S2K, OnDemand, VI Web, IMMS Data Warehouse, etc. Prepares well-supported schedules for federal, state and other regulatory reports (OSHPD, Medicare cost report, tax package, etc.). Responds timely and accurately to requests for analysis or information from Controller, CFO, auditors, managers, and others. Understands Word and Excel, and is able to transfer data between spreadsheet and mainframe computer systems. Keeps informed of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), government regulations affecting hospital accounting and finance, and Tenet accounting policies and procedures. Prepares accurate and timely supporting schedules for the annual budget process as well as other special projects assigned. Demonstrates initiative in learning and performing areas of accounting tasks not otherwise assigned or special programs. Maintains Fixed Asset Subsidiary and provides applicable reports as needed.


Qualifications:
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or 3 years previous accounting experience. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and management. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Knowledge and ability to prepare and process data via computers using spreadsheets and word processing.
