Manager of Risk and Administrative Services Under direction from
the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Business Support
Services, the Manager of Risk Management and Administrative
Services is the designated Risk Manager for the campus. This
position also provides the day to day oversight of the Public
Records Act Compliance and Campus Administrative Policy repository.
Department Summary Strategic Business Services (SBS) provides
university-wide support in the areas of contracting and contract
management, purchasing, accounts payable, receiving, distribution
services, administrative compliance (campus policy and records),
enterprise risk management and real estate.-- Key
- Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply extensive expertise
to complex programs and/or administrative specialties, including
pertinent laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and ability to apply risk management principles
and practices in multiple and diverse situations, including but not
limited to: actuarial concepts, claims investigation, claims
management, incident reporting and recording systems, income and
continuity risks, indemnification, insurance, liability risks,
personnel risks, property risks, public law, risk control, risk
financing, underwriting and evaluation.
- Demonstrated expertise in and advanced knowledge of the
principles, problems, and methods of public and business
administration and operational and fiscal management.
- Ability to understand problems from a broad, interactive
perspective and discern applicable underlying principles to
conceive of and develop strategic solutions. Education and
Experience Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or
university. A minimum of four years of technical or administrative
experience in risk management or a related field,. A graduate
degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the
required experience. Additional qualifying experience may be
substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
