About the PositionEdge Autonomy of San Luis Obispo is seeking a
senior-level electrical engineer to join our engineering group and
help further develop our aircraft subsystems. We are looking for a
candidate who can collaborate well with a small team to develop
unmanned aircraft products for military and commercial
applications. The work is hands-on, fast-paced, fun, and rewarding.
-Essential Responsibilities: This is not necessarily an

- Support the design, development, prototyping, testing,
troubleshooting, and documentation of electrical systems for
unmanned aircraft
- Technical leader for engineering projects including PCB design,
embedded systems, and wire harnesses
- Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines
(mechanical, aerospace, software, QA)
- Establish repeatable manufacturing processes and inspection
plans
- Participate in design and peer reviews
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by
adhering to good practices and habits of configuration control
-Required Qualifications
- US Citizenship
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is
required or an equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience
- Senior position: 5+ year's relevant work experience in aircraft
electrical systems or related field
- Leadership skills: the ability to direct and delegate
tasks
- Covid-19 Vaccination status of Fully Vaccinated
- Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance -Desired
Qualifications
- Experience with the following
- Systems design and integration of electrical, software, and
mechanical systems for aircraft or robotics
- PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting
- Microcontroller programming and testing
- Power systems, motor control, batteries, sensors
- Data conversion (analog-to-digital)
- RF design and testing
- Part selection and sourcing
- Altium or similar PCB design software
- Wire harness design and fabrication
- Quality inspections and improvements
- Familiarity with the industrial specifications and requirements
(ISO, MIL, ASME, etc.)
- Ability to read schematics and use standard debugging
equipment: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter
- Strong sense of ownership and drive in digging into complex
problems
- Good team communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills -Hiring
Requirements
- If an offer of employment is extended, a background check is
required, and the offer of employment is contingent on the
results.
- This is a salaried position requiring 40 hours a week during
normal business hours. Additional hours may be required to support
development or production goals.
- Based on our work requirements, applicants must comply with

working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one-hour lunch period.
