The primary purpose of the MFGE Technician is to leverage technical
expertise and hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience
towards 1) the development of processes and improvements for new
products and 2) the sustainment and improvement of existing
products. This position is divided into three classifications:
Manufacturing Engineering Technician 1,2,3. The compensation pay
band includes and is based on level of skills, knowledge, and
experience. Level 1 is an introductory level of MFGE status within
Trust Automation, with the path for increased experience and
autonomy under the supervision of the MFGE Manager, with peer
mentoring by other MFGE personnel, and in collaboration with other
departments within Operations and Engineering. Level 2 is an
intermediate level of MFGE status within Trust Automation, with
increasing accountability and ability to operate independently. In
comparison to Level 1, there is less direct supervision under the
MFGE Manager, and more time assigned towards direct collaboration
within IPTs (Integrated Product Teams) and higher level
stakeholders within Operations and Engineering. Level 3 is the
highest level of MFGE Technician and is defined by the ability to
independently develop and implement plans for solutions and
improvements to process and products, to monitor status of those
plans, and to report updates and deviations to those plans to the
MFGE Manager. By using the skillsets acquired within MFGE, this
role becomes more of a mentoring and delegation of technical and
process development skillsets to newer MFGE technicians, MFG
personnel, and allows autonomy in working with all other
departments as a key product stakeholder. This role culminates the
growing knowledge base of all aspects within Trust's product
realization process along with significant technical expertise in
the assembly, testing, and operation of a product, to result in
independent assessments and comprehensive proposals for lean
improvements to that product. Duties and Responsibilities To
