  • + HUMM: Working together and supporting one another as a team to achieve extraordinary results.As the Accounting Manager, you will have the experience, capability and passion to oversee all operational accounting aspects and general ledger accounting, as well as the timely and accurate processing of transactions, financial data, and preparation of monthly financial statements, and lender reporting. Specifically, this includes AP, AR, POS & credit card reconciliation, fixed assets, project costing, prepaids, deposits, and others; and all related journal entries and supporting schedules. You will have outstanding excel skills and a passion for financial analysis. You will be the Director of Finance's right hand/go to person. You will manage the daily workload of 2 hotel accountants.A compassionate, positive and productive attitude is essentialResponsibilities of the Ideal Candidate:
    • Peform and/or oversee the timely and accurate processing of all monthly accounting data, with an eye towards continual process improvement and efficiency
    • Manage six different general ledgers
    • Manage the daily cash needs and prepare requests for needed bank transfers
    • Assist the DOF in managing, supervising, teaching, coaching and providing feedback to 2 experienced hotel accountants: and others in the company handling accounting data
    • Timely and accurate preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and lender reports, including requests for reserve refunds
    • Assist the DOF with cash flow projections, including preparation of the weekly cash sheet
    • Maintain an in-house fixed asset management system, to include detailed/accurate fixed asset ledgers, including substantial projects in progress
    • Provide accounting and financial support to the hotel General Managers and senior management
    • Prepare and analyze various, periodic operating reports
    • Perform, review and/or approve bank reconciliations
    • Report all discrepancies in accounting practices and potential issues to DOF in a timely manner
    • Oversee the preparation and filing of all sales, use and occupancy taxes
    • Manage the electronic/paperless AP processing system including payment releases (Concur)
    • Assist the DOF in maintaining and monitoring the company's master calendar & events
    • Provide Financial Reports and information to Director of Finance for analysis
    • Provide YTD financial statements, projections and supporting information to the outside CPA's for tax projections quarterly
    • Maintain a clean, organized and accurate electronic filing system
    • Other projects and tasks as assigned.PM3 Qualifications

          • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, with at least 5 years of experience.
          • Solid experience in all areas of Accounting, General Ledger & Reporting
          • 2 years minimum of Management Experience preferredPhysical Requirements:The minimum physical requirements for this position include but are not limited to:
            • Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests
            • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
            • Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
            • Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
