geotechnical engineering, geology and hydrogeology, construction
materials testing and inspection, and soils and materials
laboratory testing. Earth Systems is founded on our people and has
more than 50 years of experience working in communities throughout
California.Earth Systems has an opening for a Business Development
and Marketing Manager in our San Luis Obispo Corporate office.The
Business Development and Marketing Manager is responsible for
developing and implementing marketing programs and effective public
relations and business development plans based on the company's
strategic goals. This position plays a vital role in growing the
business through developing new clients, through relationship
building, researching markets and opportunities and bringing in
prospects for introduction to our company's qualifications and
abilities. This position is also responsible for coordinating and
creating proposals, including writing, research, data gathering,
photo library creation/organization, execution and
delegation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and
implement policies, procedures and standards for marketing of
company.Develop an effective public relations and marketing
campaign/plan. Develop/maintain effective business development
plans and strategies for each profit center, including preparing
and updating specific business development plans as necessary.
Develop and maintain office wide client database and marketing
information.Monitor ConstructConnect and other lead sources
(PlanetBids, Environet, etc.) to review and identify leads or
opportunities, coordinate with Managing Principals regarding
pursuit of specific opportunities.Regularly train and communicate
with Project Managers and other appropriate personnel with respect
to marketing, sales, and business development. Follow up regularly
with managing principals regarding business development strategies
and activities.Review and approve all proposals and SOQs that are
produced by the marketing department. Assist, when necessary, the
production of proposals and qualifications packages.Measure and
reward marketing and sales success.Participate in specific projects
as they pertain to marketing and/or client relationships.Represent
the firm through memberships in professional and community
organizations.Assist with corporate communications.Gather
information and prepare weekly reports to meet with management on
current business development and marketing efforts. Always ensure
positive public perception of company, led by example in terms of
comportment and attitude.Conduct research to determine client
satisfaction.Develop a variety of written content and collateral.
Respond to requests and/or surveys from reputable publications for
industry information.Responsible for the administration,
maintenance and oversight of CRM - Cosential. Develop dashboards
and reports as needs identified. Directs team in use and
application. Responsible for social media - content and
delivery.Assist in the production of quarterly reviews, proposal
reviews, event planning, presentation, research and development,
project and personnel photography. Update and redesign the website
as necessary. Develop and maintain the company website to ensure it
is current and reflective of the internal and external marketing
messages. Leadership Responsibilities:Manage Marketing Coordinator
to define, track, and achieve measurable goals established during
budget strategy and strategic planning sessions.Provide
constructive feedback, regular coaching, and career development
input throughout the year to help Marketing Coordinator achieve
performance objectives and develop their professional skills and
capabilities.Knowledge and Skills:Professional demeanor and
appearance.Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of firm's practice,
clientele, goals, policies, and procedures.Proficiency in MS Office
applications.Knowledge of Cosential, InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe
Creative Suite, Word Press and/or other industry standard software
for creativity and operations.High level of writing proficiency and
verbal communication skills to interface effectively and
professionally with employees, managers, internal and external
clients. Highly competent in marketing theory and practice.Highly
organized with the ability to delegate and explain complex
concepts. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Actively
involved in professional and community organizations, including
SMPS. Good grasp of local culture, politics, economy, and place as
they pertain to the built
environment.Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Marketing,
Business Administration, Communications or related field with 5+
years' experience. Experience in AEC industries preferred.
Professional services business development experience with overall
marketing experience required.Employment conditioned upon the
