Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the cell backhaul account management team selling
directly and indirectly to wireless carriers and manage the
organizational functions which is not limited to:
Act as the primary leader to direct partners in the cell backhaul
space, including responsibility for technical spec review,
presenting bid opportunities to Sales engineering and internal
boundary partners, developing business cases and deal proposals to
leadership internally and providing quoting responses on cell bids
and client requests.
Manage daily relationship, information requests, process
establishment, billing support as necessary, issue escalation,
revenue tracking, scoping, revenue forecasting, and reporting
Develop business cases for sales, network expansion, and new market
entry. Identify new business opportunities with cellular carriers
by hearing needs, developing solutions, presenting business cases,
and selling.
Manage primary daily business relationship with carrier.
Lead, coach, and manage employees to company and organization goals
including performance improvement plans as necessary to ensure
organizational success and compliance to all job requirements and
company guidelines.
Set Quarterly Individual Objectives for team members and annual
performance goals, rate performance per the company performance
review process on time with thorough and accurate feedback.
Accelerate the growth of the business in this space including
leading the teams responding to the RFPs, building business with
the carrier, and expanding into new areas of each of the carriers.
This will include working with the core operations team to build
cost estimates for cell sites, providing context and business
development expertise to inform pricing models/business cases, and
presenting to leadership to obtain approval for extensive bids.
Identify new business opportunities with cellular carriers by
hearing needs, developing solutions, presenting business cases, and
selling. For large opportunities, this may include direct selling
by the Director.
Build strong direct relationships with the wireless carriers and
their operations teams.
Maintain collaborative working relationships with internal
stakeholders and cross functional partners to ensure success in all
areas of the customer experience.
Support weekly, regular meetings with key carriers and assigned
account managers.
Lead quarterly performance reviews with key carriers with assigned
account managers.
Budget annual sales targets and deliver results.
Support weekly operations calls with cell providers attended by
assigned account managers to review current order status.
Key reporting of team activity, forecasting, sales results,
budgeting, and other reporting as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree required or commensurate experience in the
role
Experience:
Strong and proven management\leadership skills for a minimum of 5
years.
10 + years' experience selling, engineering, and supporting large
multisite deals in the wireless carrier (cellular) space.
Proven experience in business development/building a new business
in the cellular space.
Large RFP experience with cellular services, FTTC, small cell.
7+ years' experience in cellular or telecommunications space.
Expertise with all facets of contracting, SLA documents, and
technical spec documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy,
low threshold for error in work due to the high visibility of
proposals prepared for our clients.
Proven success with delivering exceptional business proposals to
all levels of an organization and winning business as a result.
Excellent business judgment, technical, problem-solving, and
communication skills.
Passion for flawless customer fulfillment and installation
experiences.
Highly productive and prioritizes multiple tasks.
Highly proficient using MS Office products: Project, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint. (Graphic programs a plus).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to partner and leverage other organizations to be
successful.
Ability to turn around proposals in a short time frame as required
dependent upon RFP timelines.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively raise potential issues,
build partnerships in other organizations, and hold teams
accountable to customer commitments.
Willingness and ability to quickly learn and understand the cable
industry, regional communities, and customers.
Recognizes the importance of quality in providing a competitive
edge.
Must be able to sit for extended periods.
Must have ability to frequently use repetitive motions of the
wrist, hands and/or fingers.
Must be able to work in a standard office environment; no hazardous
or disagreeable work conditions.

Including:
The base salary range in WA, OR and CA for this position is
$125,000-$140,000, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and
commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low
and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary
and may be above or below the range based on various factors
including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and
capabilities.
