Formation, Inc. is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Bakersfield, California. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 01/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, evenings, nights, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist – Travel Duties - Perform CT imaging procedures independently with or without direct supervision - Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and providing clear instructions - Safely assist patients on and off the CT table; position patients appropriately for ordered studies - Operate CT scanners, computer systems, and imaging software to produce accurate, diagnostic-quality scans efficiently - Assist radiologists or physicians with contrast administration and medications as required - Maintain strict compliance with state and federal radiation safety regulations, including badge monitoring - Ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures using proper radiation safety practices - Review images for quality, accuracy, and proper patient identification - Complete required documentation, patient logs, and billing charge entry - Maintain CT equipment and work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition - Provide basic life support and first aid when required - Deliver age-appropriate care across all populations, including neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Skills & Qualifications - Active California Radiologic Technologist Certification - ARRT (CT) Certification required - Completion of a formal Computed Tomography training program (1 year) or equivalent on-the-job experience - Current AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days) - Strong knowledge of CT imaging techniques, anatomy, equipment operation, and acute care procedures - Ability to work independently, manage workload, maintain records, and communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and staff Education - High School Diploma or GED required - Graduation from a two-year Radiologic Technology program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association About Formation, Inc.
