ID: 75100958 Shift: 8H Days M-F 11a-730p, call required, EOW Description: Unit Notes:Cerner required of cases per day: 8-30 cases/dayRequired Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)\"BLS, ACLSCommon Cases: Ortho: totals-knees, hips, shoulders; knee and shoulder scopes, TSAs (a lot); Urology-don't do many nephrectomies but everything else from cystos, ESWLs, TURPS, penile prothesis, orchiectomies, open prostates (not required); GYN-lots of hysters, D&C, slings, robotic hysters, a lot of GYN oncology, salphingooophrectomy; neuro- a lot of ortho spine, brain tumors, cranis, subdural hematomas, transsphenoidal tumors, VP shunts; hands, podiatry, DaVinci, vascular-a lot of small stuff AV fistulas, thrombectomies, carotids, endarterectomies, fem pops-open; general surgery-open, lap, robotics; ENT-tonsils, adenoids, pediatrics ENT, bariatrics, and eyes (not a deal breaker)Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 3 years OR experience required in acute care setting, not just surgery center.Required to have experience in all areas listed in common cases and RoboticsMust be living/staying within a 30 min radius due to callScrubbing required for RNs?:Would be great, but not requiredCharge Nurse/House Supervisor:1 scheduled each week dayOR techs: Present to assistEMR: Cerner SurginetShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?)\"Depends: day shifts: 8Hr shifts, 10Hr shifts, 12Hr shifts. 7a start time, but may varyForced Call Requirement: If a staff member calls in sick or goes on a Leave of Absence (LOA) and a volunteer cannot be found to cover their shift, the unit will refer to a forced call list. The list operates on a rotation basis. Due to the nature of forced call this is a very rare occurrence.Weeknight/Call - 1 night/week RNs: 1930-0700, CSTs: 1x per week end of shift-0700Weekend/Call Requirements:\"RNs- 2 weekend days- 24 hours Sat and Sun 1x per monthHoliday/Call Requirements: On-call - must schedule for 1 major & 1 minor holidayWhat is call response time?30 minutesFloating be floated to Mercy Downtown (approx 6.5 miles away)Scrub Color/Dress specific orientation:2 days maximumAdditional Notes:In mid construction, can be a lot of noise around the OR estimated completion 2027 Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks (Hospital may also pay full hours for a particular shift, in lieu of cancellation).
