Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Introduction Step into a
rewarding journey as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and
Delivery in sunny California, with an exciting assignment in San
Luis Obispo. This is your chance to combine clinical excellence
with the beauty of the Central Coast, making a real difference for
mothers and newborns while growing your expertise in a dynamic
obstetric environment. In this role you’ll guide families through
one of life’s most meaningful experiences, supported by a team that
values compassion, precision, and professional growth. When you’re
not delivering care, California’s coastline offers a feast for the
senses—from the majestic shoreline and the rugged beauty of Big Sur
to farm-to-table dining in Paso Robles wine country and the sunset
vistas along Morro Bay. A life-changing professional opportunity
awaits you here, with the flexibility to travel and expand your
horizons within a nationwide network. Location Benefits Working in
San Luis Obispo delivers a balanced lifestyle and a supportive
clinical community. You’ll practice in a region known for its mild
climate, access to outdoor recreation, top-rated schools, and a
thriving health care ecosystem. The San Luis Obispo area offers
scenic beaches, hiking trails, historic downtown, and easy access
to the Central Coast’s wine country. For those drawn to travel, our
program also offers assignments in other locations across the
United States, enabling diverse clinical experiences and culturally
rich living environments. Expect collaborative interdisciplinary
teams, modern facilities, robust patient education resources, and
opportunities to contribute to obstetric care that emphasizes
safety, family-centered care, and evidence-based practice. You’ll
enjoy dependable scheduling options, with the flexibility to
enhance your professional profile while experiencing the health
care landscape in different settings. Role Specifics and Benefits
Role specifics: You’ll be the primary nurse on Labor and Delivery
units, providing direct care to laboring patients, monitoring fetal
wellbeing, managing labor progression, and coordinating with
obstetricians and anesthesia teams. You’ll participate in birth
planning, support for cesarean deliveries when indicated, stabilize
newborns, initiate effective transition care, and teach new parents
about postnatal care, lactation support, and newborn safety. The
role offers ongoing professional development: you can deepen
specialty skills in high-risk obstetrics, neonatal stabilization,
postpartum recovery, and lactation consulting, with access to
continuing education and mentorship. Benefits include a competitive
compensation package with a weekly pay range of $3,504-$3,702, a
sign-on or retention bonus, comprehensive housing assistance, and
opportunities to extend your contract for additional weeks or
rotations. You will be supported by a dedicated travel program that
provides 24/7 assistance, ensuring you have real-time help whether
you’re onsite or on the move between assignments. Our team
prioritizes safe patient care, clear communication, and equitable
support for all staff, and you’ll work within a culture that
recognizes your contributions and your professional development
goals. Company Values Our company is built on empowering staff to
grow. We invest in your career advancement, provide mentorship and
training, and foster a collaborative, inclusive environment where
every voice matters. We believe in balancing high-quality patient
care with a sustainable work-life rhythm, ensuring you feel
supported by a network of colleagues, leaders, and national
resources designed to help you thrive as an L&D nurse in a
fast-paced, high-stakes setting. Call to Action If you’re ready to
bring your expertise in Labor and Delivery to a nationally
recognized travel program and to experience the Pacific coast and
beyond, apply today. This is your chance to join a company that

opportunities based on performance and need. Note: Hours and pay
