Description:A Shift Leader supervises fellow coworkers while they work, monitoring their performance, ensuring they comply with company and safety policies and delegating tasks appropriately. Shift Leaders are responsible for maintaining an organization's high performance, quality and safety standards and guaranteeing satisfaction.A Shift Leader performs leadership, management, and organization tasks to ensure team members work efficiently and effectively during their shift. Their duties and responsibilities include:Organizing shift schedules for team membersMonitoring attendance, tardiness, and time offAssigning duties to specific employees based on role and skillsSupervising employees and assisting with tasks as necessarySupervise performance and sharing feedback with both upper management and team membersManaging employees requests and conductTraining new and current team members on tasksHandling customer issues and managing conflictsAdhering to company policies and health, safety and employment standardsUpholding integrity and security with member documents and sensitive information alwaysManaging club cleanliness and maintenance to ensure all aspects of the club are in like new conditions.Drive sales and member experience metrics such as BCM%, EFT growth, upgrades to memberships, saving cancels, avoid accounts going into RFC, merchandise sales, use of trainers, social reviews, NPS surveys and BER resultsShift Leader Bonus expectationsShift leaders are eligible for a club performance bonus of $100 a month based on the key performance goals established monthly based on minimum of 100 hours worked per month.Requirements:Most Shift Leader candidates have at least a high school diploma or GED. Some candidates may have an associate degree in business administration or management. Though not required, a bachelor's degree in business or an industry-related field may indicate candidates with more advanced industry knowledge, relevant skills and practical training. Many candidates could benefit from on-the-job training to better transition into their roles.Shift Leaders typically must have experience working as a team member in the industry or with our PF team. For internal promotions, candidate must have at least 3 months of employment with us zero performance counseling records for the past 6 months. Shift Leaders need to be available to work at least 24 hours per week with weekend availability.A Shift Leader uses a variety of soft skills and technical abilities to manage teams of employees. These skills and aptitudes often include:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsLeadership skills like decision-making, motivation and goal-settingStrong problem-solving skillsExceptional organization and time management abilitiesConflict resolution skillsCustomer service skillsAbility to work as part of a team and collaborate effectivelyIn-depth industry knowledgeUnderstanding of relevant health and safety regulationsComfortable with workplace technology like Billing, contracts, pos functions, reporting, registers, scheduling and inventory managementBasic math skillsPI200052380
