The executive chef is responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for both short- and long-range planning in collaboration with the BOH operations director, including the development and execution of new menus and pricing, equipment, and budget planning, cost control, and profit contribution to the restaurant/hotel. You will have overall responsibility for the day to day activities in the kitchen and for maintaining complete control of the kitchen. You will be responsible for maintaining food safety, sanitary and safety standards in the workplace. You will work hand-in-hand with the General Manager, BOH Operations Director, Owners and Executive Team to focus on the vision of the restaurant.
- Minimum 5+ years of chef management, with 3+ years working in extremely high volume kitchen.
- Well organized, with the ability to work standing for up to 10 hrs/ day.
- You must be passionate about using seasonal foods, be well versed in food costing systems and enjoy being a mentor and coach to your team.
- Must have or be able to attain a management level Food Handlers Certification An iconic dining experience in the heart of downtown.
