The HR Generalist advises and assists management and employees on employee issues and concerns through communication, interpreting, and recommending appropriate use of human resources policies and procedures, services and programs offered by the facility. Assists with local recruitment responsibilities in collaboration with Centralized Recruitment. Oversight and backup for the HR Assistants in the department through training, daily operations, and providing advice on interpreting policies and procedures. Other duties include: New Employee Orientation coordination, Employee Leave of Absences, and coordination of recognition programs. Prepares reports, analyzes data, and advises HR management of trends. Ensures accurate and timely processing of personnel changes in the HRMS system. Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies for all HR documentation. Identifies problem employee relation areas that impede organizational progress and recommends appropriate interventions and/or corrective actions as needed.
Required Training/Education/Experience/Certification: 3-5 years of Human Resources experience. Bachelor Degree. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience in the following areas: Performance Management, Training Management, Maintaining Employee Files, People Skills, Resolving Conflict, Employment Law, Project Management, HR Reporting and Metrics, and Customer Service.
