characteristics. Chamisal Vineyards has been SIP (Sustainability in
Practice) certified in the vineyards since 2010 and we were the
second-ever winery to be SIP-certified in 2016, though the winery
has always gone above and beyond the requirements to maintain the
health of our vineyards and improve biodiversity in the area. -
Position Summary: The Hospitality Lead for Chamisal Vineyards is a
key member of the guest relations team and is the initial contact
that most guests have when visiting the estate. Therefore,
exemplary communication skills, a professional demeanor and a high
level of customer service are required to ensure that all guests
receive an experience that is congruent with the philosophy and
customer service values of Chamisal Vineyards. As a lead member of
the team, the position will be responsible for overseeing all
aspects of the Tasting room when the manager and/or supervisor is
not present. The ideal candidate must be systems savvy, extremely
detailed oriented, the flexibility to manage multiple priorities
and work well in a team environment. - -
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following reflects

- Greets every guest with a warm and gracious welcome, creating a
memorable first impression.
- Explains tasting experiences, protocols, and introduces guests
to their Tasting Room concierge
- Assists in responding to appointment requests and emails in a
timely and professional manner for winery tour and tasting
requests.
- Helps with organizing and managing reservation database and
works collaboratively in managing daily customer flow.
- Distributes daily appointment schedule to the winery
staff.
- Engages with guests to ascertain information to personalize
their experience, who referred them, where are they staying, are
they local, etc.
- Assists guests with recommendations/reservations for hotels,
restaurants, spas, and other wineries.
- Assists in end of day closing procedures (bottle counts,
tabulating 'pour' wines, closing registers, etc.).
- Maintains safety and Covid protocol main tasting areas -
- Continuously monitors the general appearance, temperature &
ambiance of the Tasting Room, Restrooms, and outdoor guest areas
throughout the day. Hosting
- Conduct winery tours and tastings for members, and host
walk-ins as required.
- Actively promotes the sale of wines and wine club in tasting
room. Outreach and Relationships
- Assists in managing winery outreach program including
development and maintenance of outreach targets, outreach
collateral, outreach incentive programs and data input.
- Builds and maintains relationships with other concierges for
referrals to the winery for our tours and tastings
- Relationship management of VIPs, sales, requests, visits,
outreach, white-glove service standards.
- Assists with setup of special appointment requests.
- Provides back-up support to the Guest Service Department and
Wine Club Team as required.
- Collaborates with Trade Liaison for the necessary staff and
resources required to host all trade requests. Lead
Responsibilities
- In the absence of Tasting Room Manager assign and supervise
Tasting Room staff in their duties - including pre-shift
communication, open and closing procedures in Tasting Room, floor
assignments, lunch schedules, end of day paperwork and
communication, stocking of Tasting Room, etc.
- Communicates updates and reminders effectively to tasting room
staff throughout shift.
- Coordinate with Tasting Room Manager purchasing, inventory, and
maintenance of tasting room supplies, non-wine merchandise and wine
inventory.
- Collaborate with management with onboarding and ongoing
training of Tasting Room team.
- Assist manager in compiling reports to analyze daily, monthly &
annual sales metrics.
- Assist manager with tasting room operations including but not
limited to systems management, order management, in-house shipping,
compliance, and general administration. -
- Assist manager with execution of events, special visits,
trainings, and corporate functions. -
- Familiarize with social media postings as they pertain to the
daily operations specific to DTC. Communicate and update management
and team as appropriate. Education, Training and Other
Requirements:
- AA or BA degree helpful, but not required
- 2-3 years' experience in a winery DTC, hotel or restaurant
setting.
- Capable of remaining calm and professional during peak visitor
periods.
- Must have excellent knowledge of wine and food with enthusiasm
to continually learn new information and share knowledge with
guests and other co-workers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (via
telephone, e-mail and face-to-face) are required.
- Proficiency in POS systems and CRM software.
- Experience with Tock a plus. -
- Able to coordinate and manage multiple projects.
- Detail oriented and ability to maintain, create and manage an
organizational system.
- Interact with the public and staff in a positive, professional
manner.
- Enthusiastic, passionate, and dynamic communication style.
- Comfortable speaking in front of crowds.
- Self-aware, able to work independently, and driven to make a
difference.
- Must have a positive attitude and outlook with the ability to
work within a team atmosphere.
- Professional appearance consistent with a luxury brand.
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and pass a physical exam and a
drug test.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of
time.
- Must be able to work in a busy, weekend tasting room
environment.
- Must adhere to all company policies and safety guidelines.

position is $22.00 to $24.50 per hour (in addition to tips and
commission). The stated range is the projected compensation for
this position however the actual compensation offered may vary

qualifications, related experience and education, candidate work
