Job Summary The SBS Admin will provide strategic support to all SBS functions, oversee supplier outreach, assist with CSUBuy and other low dollar purchasing programs, and provide administrative support to the department by maintaining the AVPs schedule and provide direction to the departments Student Assistants. Department Summary Strategic Business Services (SBS) is responsible for managing approximately $200 million in annual University purchasing and contracting. Procurement Services, under the umbrella of SBS, works to maximize the financial resources of the University by obtaining the best value for goods and contracted services. Key Qualifications

  • General knowledge of financial, record-keeping, mathematical and general office methods, procedures and practices
  • Ability to review financial documents for completeness, accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Ability to compute and post numbers accurately and rapidly.
  • Ability to use tact, courtesy and good judgment in responding to others and in handling a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, databases, on-line systems, integrated financial systems and other types of records management systems, query tools, Internet web browsers, as well as online calendaring and email. Education and Experience Equivalent to one year clerical accounting or financial record-keeping experience. (Any combination of education and experience, which provides the required knowledge and abilities, may be substituted for the required experience).
